Machon Shoshanat Yerushalayim: An institution which gears itself towards the personal growth of Lubavitch girls, who are permeated with yiddishe-chassidishe values. The learning program broadens the knowledge of the student and helps her to internalize chassidishe hanhaga and strengthen her hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
In the Talmudic era as a safeguard for ritual purity, foliage was not allowed to grow in the city of Jerusalem. There was one exception, a rose garden planted behind the Kodesh HaKodoshim. These rose petals were to be used in the incense offering. The fragrance produced by that offering was so powerful, that miles away from Jerusalem people would breathe in the pleasant scent.
While in exile, the Jewish people are referred to as “שושנה בין החוחים” (“a rose among the thorns)”. Here in Machon Shoshanat Yerushalayim, we have planted a garden, whose plants we will nurture and support. As we observe, they will develop into attractive roses; who will embellish and enhance Jewish communities throughout the world preparing them for the Geulah.

Our Educational approach is based on the principles and values given to us by the Rebbe. In accordance to that, we have designed a program of solid learning that develops vital study skills, and broadens one’s personal horizons in a very warm, chassidishe setting. Our Limudei Kodesh program is intended to enable our students to learn texts with familiarity and ease, and to dwell deeper into the inner meanings of Chassidus.
We feel that book-learning should be the beginning and not the end purpose of the educational experience. With this goal in mind, we will encourage our students to constantly integrate the knowledge they are gaining in their actual every-day life. In order to facilitate this process, our devoted staff offers guidance in all areas and issues pertaining to the individual challenges and questions. Farbrengens are a vital part of our schedule, and serve as inspiration for our students’ personal growth. We encourage our students to utilize their talents and abilities.through arranging programs throughout the year.
We have chosen to establish this school in Yerushalayim, a city whose intrinsic holiness will certainly contribute to our students’ spiritual growth. In Yerushalayim, our students will encounter Tanach and Jewish history not only in the classroom, but on location. Our students will encounter the many facets of Am Yisrael as they interact with a most fascinating mixture of Jews from a variety of backgrounds and life styles. Their studies will be enhanced by contact with the many wonderful Lubavitch families spread throughout the city.
